Naomi Druškić
Naomi Druškić, a prodigious talent born in Sarajevo, has made remarkable strides in the world of music from a young age. By just 11 years old, she completed Primary Musical School "Novo Sarajevo," becoming its youngest graduate. At 15, she graduated from "High Music School" in Sarajevo and continued her studies at the prestigious Royal College of Music (ABRSM) in London.
Druškić's career is marked by numerous performances both locally and internationally. Her debut with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra occurred when she was only 7, followed by her first solo concert at 8, captivating audiences with her intricate yet emotive playing style. She has graced renowned venues such as the Kennedy Center and the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and has performed four times at Carnegie Hall in New York City, as well as in cities across Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Europe.
Her accolades include multiple first-place awards at domestic competitions in 2006 and 2008, a special award at the 2010 Chopin Competition in Belgrade, and two silver medals at the International Chopin Competition in Singapore. In 2013, she earned a Gold Medal at the New York International Piano Competition and was honored as the escort of the first Phenom Laureate at the Kennedy Center. Furthermore, she has received recognition from the Federal Ministry of Science and Culture and was named Person of the Year by "Gracija" magazine in 2010 and 2013.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Druškić has also embraced acting, landing a lead role in the film "Playing with Beethoven," where she merges her two passions.
