Rae Sunshine Lee
Rae Sunshine Lee, born Rachel M.B. Renish and the youngest of ten siblings, is a multifaceted talent known for her work as a singer, actress, science fiction author, and poet. Her career began in the 1960s when she gained recognition as a child model, prominently featured in Sears/Roebuck magazine for four years, including a cover appearance. Her early television credits include commercials like the 1962 Chatty Cathy campaign alongside Maureen McCormick, as well as guest spots on classic shows such as Bonanza (1959) and Bozo the Clown (1959).
Lee is also an accomplished author with three published works to her name: "As Timeless as Infinity," "The Elsewhen of Drixdada," and "Musings of Sunshine: A Lifetime in Verse." The first two titles are science fiction novels, and she is currently developing a third installment to complete the trilogy. In addition to her novels, she has penned two screenplays and is eager to take on her directorial debut in a fantasy film.
Currently, Lee is pursuing further education in Human Services, driven by her commitment to advocating for children's rights. Over the years, she has dedicated her time to volunteer work in this field and has obtained her pastoral license to support an emerging jailhouse ministry. Her passion for social justice and the arts continues to shape her diverse career.
