Elizabeth Bradley (May 20, 1922 – October 30, 2000) was a prominent English actress renowned for her memorable role as Maud Grimes in the long-running British soap opera, Coronation Street. Born Joan Abraham in Macclesfield, Cheshire, she adopted her father's middle name, Bradley, as her professional stage name. Elizabeth embarked on her acting career at the age of 23.

From 1993 to 1999, Bradley captivated audiences as the feisty, wheelchair-bound Maud Grimes, famously dubbed "the mother-in-law from hell." Over her six-year tenure, she appeared in a remarkable 476 episodes. Prior to this iconic role, she portrayed Councillor Adams in the soap in 1978, where she was credited as Margaret Bradley.

In addition to her work on Coronation Street, Bradley made guest appearances in several popular television series, including London's Burning, The Bill, Casualty, Bad Girls, and The Sweeney. Her film credits feature notable works such as The Flesh and Blood Show and Four Dimensions of Greta, both released in 1972, as well as a memorable cameo in the classic horror-comedy An American Werewolf in London (1981), where she encountered a naked David Naughton at the London Zoo.

Beyond television and film, Bradley also excelled in theater, earning an Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the National Theatre's production of Billy Liar, further showcasing her versatility and talent in the performing arts.
